What a year it’s been here at YPP. When I threw around this idea in early 2024, I had no idea it would get to the stage it’s at right now. I’ve always wanted to support the pop punk scene in some way, and the way this has evolved is absolutely mind blowing to me. My vision was to create a new platform for up-and-coming pop punk bands to grow on & get recognised for their hard work and epic tunes, and I feel like the foundations have been laid with the launching pad set for a monster 2025.

The biggest change for 2025 is going to be the switch from a monthly vote to a quarterly vote & I’m going to ramp it up by refreshing the 250 bands completely, starting with the Jan-Mar vote!

This whole thing wouldn’t have been possible without the support from YOU, and all the bands/fans involved for reading this, sharing these posts and stories, so thanks to you all for doing that.

I’m going to spend the next couple of months fixing up the site and bring in a few new features, with the main focus being to put the spotlight on as many bands on the 250 vote as possible. I'd love to hear from anyone, with feedback/ideas about the site/concept, so please get in touch via DMs or email!

I’m also going to put out some YPP merch, which will help immensely to keep things moving! I’m a one-man band from Brisbane, Australia, so any support is greatly appreciated!
